Every college-bound senior needs to complete the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have not completed the FAFSA, The Educational Opportunity Center at Midlands Tech will help you. You do not have to be attending Midlands Tech to use this service.

Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative: Touchstone Energy Scholarship
Amount: $3,000

Qualifications
1. need financial assistance
2. are high school seniors
3. have at least a solid B grade average
4. are active in service to others
5. are goal oriented with a solid educational plan for the future
6. will NOT receive numerous or full scholarships and grants.

The College Plan Scholarship
Amount: $250
Application: Available in the School Counseling Office
The winning student must be accepted into an accredited college, university, or technical school by the end of the year. The scholarship will be made payable to the attending college, university, or technical school.
2-year Touchstone Energy Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
A scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to 2017-2018 high school graduating senior in the Aiken Electric cooperative service area planning to attend a 2-year technical college.
4-Year Touchstone Energy Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
A scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to 2017-2018 high school graduating senior in the Aiken Electric cooperative service area planning to attend a 4-year technical college.
Aiken Electric Cooperative Trustee Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
A scholarship will be awarded to a 2017-2018 high school graduating senior in the Aiken Electric cooperative service area. To be considered for this $1,000 scholarship, the student must complete the application and submit in 150 – 200 words, an explanation as to why the scholarship is needed.
Justin Thomas Gustav Pepper Memorial Scholarship 2018

Central Carolina Community Foundation Accepting Scholarship Applications for 2018-2019 School Year
(Columbia, S.C.): Central Carolina Community Foundation, the Midlands expert on philanthropy, is accepting scholarship applications for the 2018-2019 school year starting on January 3 through March 5, 2018. Interested students should visit www.yourfoundation.org/scholarships to view eligibility criteria and complete their online application. Students are automatically matched with scholarships they are eligible for when they complete the online application.
The Community Foundation manages scholarship funds that provide education opportunities for students across the Midlands. These scholarship funds are established by generous donors committed to furthering the education of the next generation. Each scholarship has its own specific purpose and eligibility criteria according to the recommendations of the donor. In 2016, the Foundation awarded 123 scholarships totaling $277,544 to some of South Carolina and the country’s outstanding students.

South Carolina State Fair “Ride of Your Life” Scholarship Program

Each year the South Carolina State Fair “Ride of Your Life” Scholarship Program awards a total of $300,000 in scholarships to high school students in South Carolina.
Applications are now available on our website, www.scstatefair.org. Applications must be completed online by March 15, 2018.
Please make your students are aware that this scholarship is available to any student in South Carolina who is a senior in a public or private high school or home school. This student must be planning to attend a public or private college, university, or technical college in the state of South Carolina.
The South Carolina State Fair will award fifty (50) $6000 scholarships to students across the state to be paid at the rate of $1500 per year over a four year period. The fifty 2018 scholars will be required to meet eligibility requirements deemed necessary by the South Carolina State Fair.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be a:
✓ South Carolina Resident
✓ First-generation college student - defined as a student whose parent(s) have not graduated from an institute of higher education with a four-year degree
✓ High school senior or a currently enrolled full-time undergraduate student.
Applicants must submit:
✓ An official transcript indicating a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better
✓ Admissions acceptance letter OR college registration documentation indicating full-time enrollment at an accredited four-year U.S. institution for the entire academic year. Unfortunately, students applying to or enrolled at online or proprietary schools are not eligible
✓ Two letters of recommendation from a high school/college faculty member, school counselor, employer, or church leader
✓ One letter of affirmation from a parent/guardian stating the applicant is the first person in his/her family to attend college

The members of the Lexington Woman's Club are pleased to be able to present a scholarship again this year to a graduating senior (male or female) who plans to enter the field of education. Students at all Lexington One high schools are eligible to apply.
The amount of the scholarship changes from year to year, depending on funds raised.
The deadline for turning in completed applications to each guidance office is Friday , April 6th. The recipient will be invited to our club meeting on Monday, May 7th, and a club member will make a presentation at the school's awards night.

This scholarship was established by The South Carolina Association for Educational Technology. Applicants must be enrolled in and accepted into an NCATE/CAEP accredited teacher education program or library science/media specialist program at a South Carolina college or university. All admission requirements for the teacher education or library science/media specialist program must be completed.
Christian Connector, Inc Scholarship Drawing

The scholarship runs each year from June 1st through May 31st. The drawing winner of each scholarship is selected at random and The Christian Connector, Inc. reserves the right to change the random drawing selection process at any point. Individuals must meet the below guidelines in order to be eligible to receive the scholarship.
Drawing Guidelines:
- The scholarship recipient must have plans to enroll for the first time as a full-time student at a Christ-centered Christian college or Bible college within 16 months of being notified by The Christian Connector, Inc. that he/she has won the drawing.
- The Christian Connector, Inc. reserves the right to make the determination of whether or not a particular school qualifies. Any school that is a member of the CCCU, NACCAP or ABHE automatically qualifies.
- The scholarship recipient may not currently be enrolled at a Christian college or Bible college.
- The scholarship will not be sent to the individual recipient, but rather it will be sent directly to the school of choice, meeting the above criteria.
- An individual cannot enter the scholarship drawing more than once, however, he/she may use the request form and Christian Connector services as often as they wish.
- By completing the information request form, the winner of the scholarship allows their name, city and state to be used on the site and in promotional materials, announcing that he/she is a Christian Connector scholarship recipient.
Should the initial randomly selected individual(s) not meet the above guidelines for the scholarship drawing entered, the scholarship will be forfeited and offered to another individual until a selected individual who meets the above guidelines is awarded the appropriate scholarship.
