Principal's Message
We completed another great week here at CHS9! Yesterday we held our first Challenge Day. What an amazing experience for the student leaders and teachers involved! "Be the change you want to see in the world" was the day's motto. I truly believe that our students and school will be positively impacted for year's to come by this single day's events. I look forward to the development of the "be the change club" at CHS!
Yesterday, I also had the pleasure of attending the Hispanic Achievement Dinner. Our very own CHS9 student, Sebastian Valle, was recognized for his academic achievements. Congratulations to him, his entire family, and his teachers on him receiving this award!
Our next STAAR exams are just 3 weeks away. May 7th our Algebra I students will be taking their test and on May 9th all of our Biology students will take their exam. After that we are in our end of year mode, preparing for our final exams. I have attached the links from our website to this newsletter to familiarize yourself with the exemption policy and exam schedule.
Early voting for this May's bond election begins Monday, April 22. Please watch the videos and read the information to educate yourself on the facts. This bond will impact our children's future education. Dr. Null mentions all the early voting locations in the first video linked below. Thank you for helping CISD remain the best district in the state!
It is an honor to be your child's principal so please continue let me know if their is anything we can improve or do to assist our students in reaching their full potential! Use the "Suggestions Box" on our website or just call or send me an email.
I hope you all have a wonderful extended weekend!
