Week in Review
What a fun week we had reading stories and learning around "wild things". I think the favorite story of the week was Go Away Big Green Monster. It is such a simple, yet fun book that the kids love to hear over and over and read it on their own. They also loved making the puppets to go with the story. We also added "g" and "o" sounds to the other ones we have learned and practiced identifying and writing the number 4. But of course nothing beats the "popcorn party" that Mrs. Stacie threw for us for the overwhelming response we have had to our box top collections. We have raised over $200 this year with the box tops that you have sent in! Thank you!
We have welcomed two new friends in our morning class this last couple of weeks, and we have a couple getting ready to start in our afternoon class. The kids have done great at welcoming their new friends and helping them adjust to our routines.

Looking ahead...
Next week we will be learning about all things that are creepy and crawly; including spiders, worms, and bats! The kids will enjoy some creepy, crawly sensory play, as well as learning fun facts and playing games to work on our basic skills. We will also add the sounds for "u" and "l" and the number 5!
A head's up that Wednesday, October 28th, we will be having our first party of the year. There will be information coming out soon if you are interested in donating items for the party or attending to help out with all of the fun!
Don't forget parent teacher conferences are also that same week. If you have not signed up for a time yet, please let me know when a good time is. It is a great opportunity to meet with me individually and discuss the progress of your child!
