Learning Without Limits
It is impressive to see all the many ways our students and staff are pursuing knowledge and igniting curiosity in their work. Here are a few highlights from this past week that should be noted:
- Our Audio-Visual team, Pirate Vision, had a workshop on Tuesday to learn about broadcast and print. They are beginning to work on our first student-led broadcast, and they recently published Pirate Pages for the students and staff at Pizitz.
- Our Math Team had their first in-person competition for the year at UAB on Saturday. In addition to the meet, our 7th & 8th grade participants heard from math professors and had a tour of campus.
- Scholar's Bowl kicked off their season two weeks ago, bringing home a win against Berry Middle School this week.
- The debate season is underway, as well. They held their first debate last week and won.
- Mr. Bostic defended his dissertation this week and officially became Dr. Bostic. Congrats to him on this accomplishment.
We are so proud of the work of our students and staff. There is much growth in learning to be celebrated at Pizitz!
