Evansdale Weekly Newsletter - October 13th Edition
October is National Bullying Prevention Month
During the month of October, students will take part in many anti-bullying activities to educate and raise awareness of the negative impacts bullying can have on all children.
Evansdale students will promote anti-bullying efforts by celebrating Peace Week Oct. 23-27th. Peace Week is a school-wide initiative designed to emphasize the importance of being peaceful, tolerant, respectful, and accepting of others. Flyers detailing Peace Week activities will go home in couriers tomorrow, October 13th. If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,

A Note From Mr. Clayton ...
Parents,
Due to Hurricane Irma causing us to miss four school days, DCSD decided to push back the progress report delivery for the next two grading periods. We normally would send them home on a Friday, but due to the change in the grade posting window for teachers, these are the new dates for the 9 week and 13.5 week reports.

Evansdale Selected as Participant in 2017 Adopt a Mile Program at PNC Atlanta 10 Miler
Evansdale is one of the 10 nonprofit organizations selected for the Atlanta Track Club Adopt a Mile program held in conjunction with the PNC Atlanta 10 Miler & 5K, October 22nd. Evansdale will “adopt” a mile along the 10-mile course, creating a cheer zone and providing course entertainment.
Our theme is "Fly Like an Eagle". Participants will be making costume wings, blasting motivational music, and cheering as loudly as possible. The larger the group we have, the more money Evansdale receives. This is a great event for parents, kids, friends, and neighbors.
