Rodolfo Neri Vela's birthday is 2/19/1952, right now he is 63 and is still living. He is living in Chilpancingo De Los Bravos, Mexico. Rodolfo was the first Mexican and the second Latin-American
to go to space. He is a professor for the Telecommunications Department in the Electrical Engineering Division of the Engineering Faculty, at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Neri was a payload specialist aboard the STS-61-B Atlantis mission lauched from the Kennedy Space Center,Florida. At conclusion he traveled 2.4 million miles in 108 earth orbits, and logged over 165 hours in space. In overall total he spent 6 days 21 hours and minutes in space. Then the shuttle landed in the Edwards Air Force Base in California.
