Gratitude
Getting kids to count their blessings can make them happier and less materialistic. The great thing about gratitude is you can learn it, practice it and cultivate it in your child. Research shows that grateful children are more satisfied with their lives, use their strengths to better their community, are more engaged in their schoolwork and hobbies, have higher grades, and are less envious, depressed, and materialistic. Here is a quick 1-minute video with ideas on learning and practicing gratitude.
