Water Day 2023 Soaking Mrs. Grandstaff

Better Together

What a fun day we had on Tuesday celebrating summer reading with Water Day! We are so proud of all our summer readers. We had a record number and hope to have even more next year! We also had 4 students with over 1000 minutes on Lexia that had the pleasure soaking me. Mia Armstrong, Johanna Marx, Ellis Leatherman, and our Grand winner, Ora Leatherman, great job!

Mr. John Frye, District Communication Specialist, visited our school last week to take video for our website. If you haven't checked out the website lately, you will want to see the new video here. There are other news articles and Social Media posts available. Also, the Community Bulletin Board gets updated regularly with flyers submitted by various groups.

Today is the last day to order spirit wear for the family. We also have our Mumkin fundraiser starting this week. They are a great way to decorate your house for the fall and proceeds will go towards our PBIS reward events and Brag Tags. Also, please see a note from Mrs. Carlson below regarding the PBIS Rewards Family App.

Lastly, Kenyon volunteers will be joining us again starting next week. It's always amazing to me how generous these students are with their time, and our students greatly benefit from them helping in the classrooms.

Have a great, long weekend!

Best wishes,

Christy Grandstaff

Thank you, MVNU Baseball Team

You may have noticed today that our playground asphalt got a paint makeover. Coach Veale and 10 members of the MVNU Baseball Team came out Thursday evening to re-outline and add more color to the playground. It was greatly appreciated, and we wish them the best during their season!
