E - Enthusiasm

This Friday finished off with a visit from Liberty Balloons, who taught us how a hot air balloon works and then brought us inside the balloon itself! The balloon, inflated by fans on the floor of Bristol Gymnasium, easily held the entire camp. Following our balloon encounter, day-campers raced around campus with their groups trying to “capture” a photo of each of our ten bunks’ hidden flags. By untangling clues, many groups managed to make it all the way “around the world,” but group 5/6a made it back the fastest. Congratulations, travelers!
Week 2 Big Blue Summer

H - Honor

Our goal to give back to the community around us has taken root with campers donating this week to Operation Shoebox, an organization based in Hillsborough that sends care packages to US troops stationed around the world. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this cause. Next week, we are collecting for the Food Bank of NJ. Each bunk will be challenged to build a sculpture out of their contributions of non-perishable food items, so take a look in your pantry today!
