Your Weekly BGS PTO News & Happenings

It's Not Too Late to Try Something New!

There's still time for 3rd & 4th Graders to join the fun - we know our 1st & 2nd graders had a blast during their sessions.

Field Hockey & Lacrosse Enrichment Clinic

Clinic Organizer: Emma Knauf

Emma is a BRHS junior working toward her Girl Scout Gold Award. She is also a BGS alumni. The focus of her Gold Award is to get Bradley Gardens students to “Try Something New.” She will be hosting a limited number of clinics after school in late May and early June to introduce the students to field hockey and lacrosse – so they can give them a try! No equipment or experience is needed - just bring water, a snack and a smile! Emma is Rutgers Safety Certified, a member of the BRHS JV Girls Lacrosse Team, Captain of the BRHS JV Field Hockey Team and she hopes to see you there!

Permission slip for the upcoming 3rd & 4th grade session is below.

Spring Book Fair

Don't miss our BOGO (Buy One - Get One) Book Fair the week of June 3. Students will attend with their classes during the week. You can also shop as a family on Wednesday, June 5 from 6-8 PM.

Volunteers will be needed to help run the store both during school hours and during the family shopping evening. Even an hour of help means a lot to our Bears! Sign up to help out here: http://bit.ly/BGSBooks19 Note that some volunteer slots may be removed once the teachers have signed up for their shopping times.

Don't Forget to RSVP to the Volunteer Breakfast

We invite all members of the BGS community who have volunteered their time or talents in some way to our annual Volunteer Breakfast on Wednesday, June 5th from 7:45 AM until school starts. Kids are welcome. To ensure we have enough goodies on hand, we just ask that you let us know you're coming by RSVP'ing here: http://bit.ly/BGSThanks19

It's been a very busy school year and we'd like to take some time to recognize the hard work of ALL of our volunteers. Without your help, we couldn't have staffed book fairs and holiday shops, decorated for events, cooked for teachers, arranged class parties, counted box tops, or done any of the other great things our PTO and class parents do to make the BGS community so special!

Help Send Off Our 4th Graders at the 4th Grade Summer Carnival

Each year, our PTO sponsors a fun-filled day to celebrate our outgoing 4th graders before they graduate BGS and move on to Eisenhower. Our 4th Grade Fun Day Team has a ton of fun in store. This year's send-off will be a 4th Grade Summer Carnival on Friday, June 14 during the school day.

We kindly ask parents to contribute to making the BGS Fourth Grade Summer Carnival a fun and successful event! We ask that every volunteer adult bring a fold up/lawn chair and beach blanket for the kids to use in the afternoon in the gym, where we will set up for a movie and lunch. Please keep the details a secret!

We also have put together a wish list of other items to help run the day as smoothly and comfortably as possible. Please sign up for as little as an hour, or all day, if you can! Don't forget to wear light/cool clothing, hats, sunglasses, bring a water bottle with ice, and remember your bug spray and sunscreen for you and your child.

Sign up to contribute items or volunteer your time via our SignupGenius here: http://bit.ly/BGSCarnival2019

**Note that we need the items by 7:30 a.m. the morning of the event for set up. We also have sign up for the day before to decorate fourth grade wing, classrooms and building entrance. Thank you so much for your generosity and willingness to help!

Dine & Donate: California Pizza Kitchen

You have to eat, so why not eat out and raise some money for BGS at the same time? We've partnered with the Bridgewater Commons California Pizza Kitchen to host a BGS PTO fundraiser on Monday, June 10 from 11 AM - 10 PM. Just show the flyer below and 20% of your check goes to support the PTO (which in turn provides assemblies, enhancements for the school, and class trip subsidies).

Don't forget to spread the word to your friends and neighbors too! Just click on the link below to view our Facebook Event and share it to you Facebook page.

Co-Chair An Event in 2019-2020
