The School City of Hobart is applying for a Lilly Grant that could potentially provide our schools with a counseling grant for over $400,000. As part of the process, we have to collect data from parents, students and staff. Please help our schools out by taking the brief survey by clicking on the link below.

Cheerleaders send valentines

Last week the varsity cheerleaders took time out from their competition practices to participate in a bit of community service. The team crafted several homemade personalized valentine cards for Goodway Group. The valentines were sent to various pediatric hospitals across the United States for the patients to receive on Valentine's Day.

Cheerleaders attend Purdue Recruitment Clinic

This weekend a group of 6 varsity cheerleaders attended the Purdue University Get Recruited Clinic at Holloway Gymnasium on the Purdue West Lafayette Campus. There they participated in stunting and tumbling classes with the Purdue University Coed and All-girl teams. They learned a performance to "Hail Purdue" and participated in a simulated collegiate cheer tryout. The simulated tryout resulted in seniors being selected to return to Purdue's invitation only tryouts. I'm very proud to share that our HHS senior cheerleaders Anthony Reyes and Michael Collazo were invited back to tryout for the Coed team and Lizzy Burns and Meghan Bell were invited back for the All-girl team! Additionally, Jhaida Barbera and Jenna Yarrito did an excellent job representing Hobart High School as juniors.
