The Yarn Project

to benefit fire victims in the Philippines

$15 Buys Supplies to Make & Sell One Product

In March, the "Love in Faith" missions team will move to the Philippines to reach out to the residents on Umapad Street in Mandaue, Cebu. One of the things they'll be doing is opening a Job Skills Training Center in their living room by partnering with Educate to Empower livelihood NGO. Our goal is to train Filipina ladies how to knit and sell luxury Merino Wool baby hats, which will be sold and marketed in the U.S. These ladies recently experienced a fire that burned down their makeshift houses and now they're living in tents on the ash covered ground. We've got the workers, we've got the space, and we've got a knitting teacher...we just need the yarn materials needed to get started. The less overhead we have, the more money will go into their pockets. That's where YOU come in. :)
