Lunch Accounts

IOU’s will not be issued after May 24th from the Cafeteria. We have several students who have overdrawn accounts so please check your child’s lunch account and send in payment if it is overdrawn. As you deposit money into your child’s lunch account, please remember that any money left in their lunch account at the end of the year will automatically be carried over to the next year, even if the student transfers to middle school. The Food Service Department is only able to refund money to students leaving the district. Please call 248-344-3690 with any questions.

PE NEWS

No Gum

Just a friendly reminder, there is no gum allowed in gym.

Proper Shoes

For the safety of all students, please wear proper shoes to PE class. Tennis shoes are best! In the warmer weather kids like to wear flip flops and sandals and in the winter boots are often necessary. During these times, pack tennis shoes in your backpack so you can change before coming to PE.

PE classes outside

Please plan to dress appropriately to be outside in PE. This means that in the morning students shoes may get wet from the dew (pack extra socks or shoes to accommodate the problem of having wet shoes/socks all day). You may also want to wear sun screen to school since we will be outside whenever possible!

PE Facebook Page

You can ‘like’ the Winchester Physical Education Facebook page and then you will see our updates and information. To find us, search for Winchester Physical Education and you will see our profile picture (the large W that is in the middle of the gymnasium floor). We will be posting more regularly starting this spring. We will not ever put student names but if you are uncomfortable with pics of your students on the page, please email Ms. Haite (haitehe@northvilleschools.org).

Leader in Me - Parent Survey

As a Leader in Me Lighthouse school we are always working to understand how we can improve. Please complete the survey below as part of an annual assessment to help all members of the school community (students, parents, and staff) understand how we are doing. Your responses will provide us with important information to help us in our efforts to

continuously improve the work we do with the Leader in Me. You can access the survey using the following link:

Thank you for your time in helping Winchester be the best we can be!

Cereal Drive - Gleaners Community Food Bank

This year we are participating in a district-wide Gleaners Community Food Bank Cereal Drive. The cereal collected will be distributed by Gleaners to children throughout Michigan who benefit from free or reduced cost breakfasts and lunches but do not know where their next meal is coming from over the Summer.

Last year Northville contributed more than 29,000 servings of cereal. This year, with your help, we hope to boost that number to over 40,000.

The drive has been organized by two Northville High School brothers that are working to end the Summer hunger of hundreds of thousands of children in Michigan.

Retirement Celebration

Celebrate our Teacher and Staff Retirements with us on Monday, June 3

Stop in and enjoy our ice cream bar in the Dragon's Den anytime from 4:00 - 6:30
