Building Capacity for all to be G.R.E.A.T.S.
April 2021: From the Principal's Office
April is an exciting time for us at Gilder, as the students take on their spring assessments. Our students are eager to 'show what they know' on both the NSCAS and MAP assessments. They have all worked a great deal this past school year to make up for lost time in the classroom. I am encouraged by their growth and dedication. You should all be proud of your student(s) and how far they have come throughout this pandemic.
Thank you for your endless support in keeping a positive mindset and safe space for your child(ren). We are confident we will have an incredible final two months.
Together we can, and together we will!
Blessings,
Mrs. Schmidt

We are proud to announce Gilder consistently has had 90% or higher on daily attendance for the past FIVE weeks. Thank you ALL for motivating your students as well keeping them safe and healthy to attend school.
- Attendance is taken every day for all students during the morning meeting.
- If your student is going to be absent for any reason (illness, appointment, technical issues, etc.), please notify the main office 531.299.1500.
Daily Health Assessment
We remind families to complete their daily health assessment before leaving home each day, asking three vital questions:
- Has your child experienced one or more of the following symptoms: a new cough, new onset of shortness of breath, new loss of taste or smell OR two or more of the following symptoms: fever 100.4 or above, chills, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue in the last 24 hours?
- Is your child waiting for a Covid-19 test result?
- Has anyone in your household been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last 14 days?
If you answer "yes" to any of these questions, you will be expected to stay home.
For the safety of the students and staff, please notify the school immediately if your child tests positive for COVID-19, so contact tracing can begin.

Counselor's Corner
6th Grade Parents-
It may be hard to believe, but the time to register your 6th grader for Middle School is here. If your child is attending Bryan Middle School, you may have already completed registration virtually this week. April 2nd is the last day to register virtually with Bryan. If you child will attend a different Middle School, like Norris or King Science, I will be registering them this week or next, and will send home the paperwork with your child. Look for updates on Class Dojo. If you have any other questions, please contact me at 531-299-7280, michelle.linder@ops.org, or on ClassDojo.
