History of the Tribe
They met Vikings and they traded stuff. The "Little Ice Age" made the Arctic colder.They lived in Alaska,Canada,Siberia, and Greenland. One of the oldest tribes been around for 2,000 years. They have been around for about 4,000 years.
Shelter of the Tribe
They had houses with stone floors, and whalebone walls covered with stone and animal skins.If they were in a area with animals they would have better homes. They used igloos as homes too.They use to live in warm places.
Clothing of the Tribe
The woman made the clothes out of animal skin. If it was not good a enough the men could get frostbite and die. They made lots of clothes out of caribou skins. Most of the clothes were made from animal skins or fur.
Food of the Tribe
They mostly hunted polar bears, and caribou. They had to hunt, fish, and gather food such as berries roots, and seaweed. They ate seals a lot and hunted them like bears.They dropped wood chips on to the water before the seal came up,so that the seal comes up the hunter knows.
Tribal Traditions
They did sun dances. Beliefs and traditions were very important in their culture. They had a lot of festivals.They tell a lot of stories.
Tribe's Culture Today
To live in the arctic you need the right tools.They name there kid after someone who dies. There are about 1,000 of them. They are also called "Eskimos".
