NLMAS October Update
The month of October has been busy at the Norwalk-La Mirada Adult School. Fall Session II classes are in full swing with new enrollments continuing to grow in many programs. The ESL program has added an overflow class in the evening to meet the growing demands and NLMAS is continuing to evaluate the needs of our communities to best serve where needed.
The NLMAS teachers engaged in their first all day teacher professional development on October 10th where teachers received PLC back to basic and tech training. Our teachers enjoyed a day of learning and growing together as they prepared for Fall Session II classes.
Other events of the month:
- Student Council meetings were conducted on both sites on October 19th. We thank our student representatives for their participation and feedback.
- Great Shake Out Drill occurred on October 20th. Thank you staff and students for a smooth drill!
