Y5-6 IT CLUB

C11 MONDAY & THURSDAY

WHEN DOES IT START?

THURSDAY 12TH MARCH 12:00PM

WHEN IS IT AND WHERE IS IT?

Every Monday and every Thursday in C11.

Y6 - 12:00 - 12:25

Y5 - 12:30 - 12:55

HOW MANY OF US WILL BE ALLOWED TO GO TOGETHER?

In Y6, x5 pupils can attend from any one class.

In Y5, x7 pupils can attend from any one class.

I'M IN Y5, HOW DO I MAKE SURE I MAKE IT TO C11?!

Make sure you ask your teacher during registration if you can attend IT Club at lunchtime. If you are one of the lucky few to be given a pass, you will need to line up against the wall outside Mr Tallent's classroom at 12:25. Mr Tallent or Mr Shackleton will then take you up to C11 where you will be supervised by 6th Form Prefects.

ARE THERE ANY RULES I NEED TO FOLLOW WHEN I GET TO C11?

OF COURSE THERE ARE!!

We want you to have fun but you need to remember that other pupils in school are having lessons nearby at the same time, so you must:

  • Stay at your own PC and not wander/wheel around the room chatting to friends.
  • Listen to the 6th Form Prefects - they will report any poor behaviour directly to Mr Tallent and Mr Shackleton, anyone who we feel hasn't followed the rules will receive a ban for the rest of the term.
  • Stick to the KPS Acceptable Use Policy (It's in your diaries) - Any breach of this policy WILL result in your online privileges being removed.
  • Be safe and sensible online - Do not give out any personal information online. Do not post anything online that you wouldn't say to someones face. Inappropriate behaviour online or in the classroom will not be tolerated. Attending IT Club is a privilege that can be revoked at any time.

WHAT CAN I USE THE PCs FOR?

There is a lot of software installed on the PCs that you can use to deepen your learning outside of the classroom. There are also a lot of online resources that you will be familiar with that you could use to become better at something that interests you. It would be great to see some of you working on projects that you are learning about in Topic or IT lessons. It would also be a good opportunity to get onto Mathletics and complete homework or extend your mathematical skills.
