5th Grade E-Learning Academy
- 45 minutes per subject per week on iReady individualized learning paths (these are the GREEN button lessons)
- 45 minutes per subject per week on iReady lessons that are teacher assigned (these are the BLUE button lessons)
- 30 minutes per day of sustained silent reading (SSR)
Other assignments per subject area will be included in these newsletters.

Focus Standard
5.G.2 - Represent real world and mathematical problems by graphing points in the first quadrant of the coordinate plane, and interpret coordinate values of points in the context of the situation.
- Complete 45 minutes of iReady math instruction (GREEN path only!)
- Practice the following standards on Quizizz: 5.NBT.1-7, 5.NF.1-5, and 5.G.1-2.
Wednesday
- Complete the iReady math teacher-assigned lessons (BLUE path only!)
- Review the Khan Academy videos on geometry here.
- Complete the geometry activity in Google Classroom.
Important Notes
- To access Google Classroom for math, students must go to their Google Classroom homepage and click "join" for Mrs. Patterson's class.
- Students may also work on Prodigy to continue mastering math skills.

- Complete the on-demand writing activity in Edulastic. Set a timer for 75 minutes to complete this writing prompt.

Focus Standard(s)
L.5.3a - Students will demonstrate an understanding of photosynthesis and the transfer of energy from the sun into chemical energy necessary for planty growth and survival.
L.5.3A.1 - Students will research and communicate the basic process of photosynthesis that is used by plants to convert light energy into chemical energy that can be stored and released to fuel an organism's activities.
L.5.3A.2 - Students will analyze environments that do not receive direct sunlight and devise explanations as to how photosynthesis occurs, either naturally or artificially.
