David Barton Elementary - January 18, 2022
There will be no school tomorrow, Wednesday, January 19 to allow staff to prepare for Virtual Learning (AMI) and for parents/guardians to pick up student Chromebooks. This day will be classified as a snow day.
Depending on staffing, there is a possibility of extending Virtual Learning (AMI) to Monday, January 24 and Tuesday, January 25 as well. If that is the case, you will be notified on Sunday.

SCHEDULE
WEDNESDAY, JAN 19
- NO SCHOOL
- 11:00 AM-6:00 PM - Device Pick-Up at DB (details below)
- Classroom teachers will email/Class Dojo additional details. Watch for email or ClassDojo communication from your child's classroom teacher regarding expectations for Virtual Learning (AMI).
THURSDAY, JAN 20 & FRIDAY, JAN 21
- Daily Classroom Zoom (see times below)
- 2-3 hours virtual work
- 1:00-2:30 PM - Teacher Office Hours
MONDAY, JAN 24 & TUESDAY, JAN 25
- As of now, school will be IN PERSON/IN SEAT
- Depending on staffing, there is a possibility of Virtual Learning (AMI) being extended to these two days.
- If Virtual Learning (AMI) is extended, notifications will be sent on Sunday.
DEVICE PICK-UP
Student Chromebooks can be picked up at David Barton Elementary between 11: 00 AM-6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 19. Pick-up locations will be divided by grade levels.
3rd Grade – back door (entrance off of Spruce Street/Gmelich Street, across from the DB track)
4th Grade – main entrance (circle drive entrance off of Locust Street)
5th Grade – front east entrance (glass doors on east end of building, black stone bench outside of entrance)

3rd Grade - 10:30 AM-11:00 AM
4th Grade - 11:00 AM-11:30 AM
5th Grade - 11:30 AM-12:00 PM
Outside of the daily classroom Zoom, students will have approximately 2-3 hours of online work to complete each day.
Teachers will have daily Office Hours from 1:00 PM-2:30 PM. They will be available if you have questions during this time.

SUPPORT
STUDENT MEALS
All Pirate families are invited to pick up food from LSE during Virtual Preparation and Learning by stopping by the pickup station at LSE Middle School (700 Main Street) from 7:00 AM-11:00 AM on school days.
The LSE food pickup station is for all students regardless of which school building they attend.

STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
If you have a question regarding a classroom assignment, please first reach out to the classroom teacher.
Special education concerns should be addressed through the student’s case manager as the first point of contact.
