WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
READING & WRITING
Learners compared and contrasted the ways themes are developed across texts. They also worked on an iMovie trailer to spotlight their favorite book they read during the Unit 1 Readers Workshop.
Math
In Math learners represented and solved for products of decimals to the hundredths, using strategies such as area models and those based on place-value understandings, properties of operations, and the relationship to the multiplication of whole numbers.
SCIENCE
In Science, this week learners were able to communicate and demonstrate the properties of matter.
SOCIAL STUDIES
In social studies this week, learners read about the significant causes and events of the American Revolution.
Important Information
Student Zoom Sign In Update: Please make sure that learners log into ZOOM with their g.coppellisd.com accounts starting on Monday, August 31st. If you would like more information, please view this website.
Schoology: As we continue with virtual learning, Schoology is a very important tool during this time. We know some of our learners are using the app, but it is best for them to use the web-based version: https://schoology.coppellisd.com/
Learners need to make sure they are completing and submitting all of their work for each course since that is how we are taking attendance. In addition, although online learning is taking place at home, learners should be starting and finishing their work on their own as they would in-person at school.
Lee Specials Quarterly Newsletter: Our specials team puts out a newsletter each week. Check it out!
Box Tops: Did you know you can SCAN Box Tops and earn money for our school with items you already purchase for your home? Learn more about this quick and easy way to help our school.
