Philadelphia Museum of Art
Welcome to the first stop on our tour. The Philadelphia Museum of Art has been greatly influenced by the style of architecture of Ancient Greece. It has sculptures of the Greek gods carved along the top. This building has been influenced by Greek style columns. The Greek had three different types of columns, Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian. This building has Corinthian columns.
Walnut Street Theater
Here we are at our second stop. Greeks adapted theater into their society and they performed comedic and tragic plays. Today, those types of plays are still performed. Although many more genres besides comedy and tragedy have been added, a lot of plays today are still based like plays from Ancient Greece.
City Hall
Now we are arriving at our last stop, City Hall. The Greeks were the first to develop a form of democracy. Democracy is used in our society today. This building has also been influenced by architecture as well as government.
