Amesbury High School Calendar May & June 2024
MCAS Tuesday, May 21, 2024 and Wednesday, May 22, 2024
MCAS Math Testing for sophomores will occur on Tuesday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 22. All 10th grade students will arrive at 7:40am to test. Room assignments will be posted throughout the school. Sophomores - remember to charge your chromebooks!
For all other students, arrival will be at 10:00 with classes beginning at 10:05. The bell schedule for both days is posted below.

Attention Senior Families
Graduation Events 2024
THURSDAY, MAY 30
7:40-11:03 - Senior Exams 1, 2, WIN, 3
Staff will be in the lobby after exams collecting obligations (ie. textbooks, calculators, uniforms, etc.)
11:15 - Rehearsal* - Gym
Students will be lined up by height and should bring/wear the shoes they intend to wear on graduation day.
12:30 - Presentation*
All seniors will be required to stay after rehearsal to attend a presentation on healthy relationships sponsored by PACT. More info to come.
FRIDAY, MAY 31
7:40-11:03 - Senior Exams 6, 5, WIN, 4
The bell schedule is reversed on this day so that seniors are dismissed for rehearsal. Staff will be in the lobby after exams collecting obligations (ie. textbooks, calculators, uniforms, etc.)
11:15 - Rehearsal* - Auditorium
Caps and gowns will be distributed on this day. Grad night t-shirt distribution.
MONDAY, JUNE 3
9:30 - Senior Walk**
Seniors will board the buses at 9:30am in their caps and gowns to visit the Shay, Cashman, Barnard, and AMS.
12:45 - Sing Out** - Auditorium
Students will have lunch after the Senior Walk and pick up their carnations.
This event is open for families to attend.
TUESDAY, June 4
11:15 - Rehearsal* - Auditorium
Student medical records will be handed out on this date.
6:00pm - Baccalaureate** - Auditorium
Seniors should arrive at 5:00 p.m. in the cafe dressed appropriately in caps and gowns.
This event is open for families to attend.
WEDNESDAY, June 5
Six Flags
7:15 am - 8:00 pm
Arrive by 7:15 for breakfast at check-in. Bus will depart by 8 am and return by 8 pm. Wear your senior t-shirt

THURSDAY, JUNE 6
11:15 - Rehearsal* - Stadium
5:00-9:00 - Senior Dinner Dance
Blue Ocean Music Hall, Salisbury, MA
This is a semi-formal event. Seniors should bring their yearbooks.
FRIDAY, JUNE 7
11:15 - Rehearsal* - Stadium
7:00 - Graduation** - Landry Stadium
Seniors report to AMS Gymnasium at 6:10 pm dressed appropriately in caps and gowns. Seniors attending Grad Night need to be dropped off and bring a change of clothes
*Attendance at rehearsals is mandatory for participation in graduation.
**These are cap and gown events. Students should attend dressed appropriately and in caps and gowns. Seniors who plan to walk at graduation are required to attend all cap and gown events.

In-Person Support Group
Guidance Information
9, 10: Registration for the PSAT is now open. Students register by paying for the test with a check for $18 made payable to Amesbury High School. The check can be mailed to the high school, attn Guidance, or brought to Mrs. Foley in Guidance. The last day students can register for the test is Friday, June 14th.
10, 11: If you will need CollegeBoard testing accommodations for next year, please see Mr. Sydow by May 31st for the information required.
11: Considering a spring SAT? Visit https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/digital/digital-testing/dates-deadlines for more information and deadlines.
Brag sheets should be submitted electronically to your guidance counselor by May 31st.
11, 12: If you are taking an AP exam, you will receive a separate email reminder for each AP arrival time and testing location. Please speak to your guidance counselor if you have questions.
12: The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is available. You need to fill this form out to be considered for financial aid. Visit https://studentaid.gov and click on the FAFSA Form in the top banner to get started.

If you have not yet joined the google classroom for your grade level, the join codes are on the "Community Service" bulletin board outside of room 229. For any questions regarding community service please see Dr. Walsh in room 230.
