MASON GAZETTE
January 8, 2016
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We are thrilled that Mason won the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House "Trim-a-Tree Contest" held in December. Thank you to Mrs. Demas, Mrs. McCulloch, our students and our PTO mom, Mrs. Somers, for helping to create an outstanding tree, with a Mason moose nature theme for decorations.
We have an assembly next Wednesday, January 13, "Draw Your Destiny". On the day of the assembly, Duane Abel, the cartoonist encourages all students and staff to wear pink. The character he created, “Zed”, is pink.
Students are taking their winter NWEA tests and also have a Grosse Pointe Writing Assessment planned for this month. Fifth graders will be registering for Parcells, and selecting their sixth grade courses,
Quick reminders: Be sure your children are dressed warmly for outside recess daily.
Our parking lot can be quite a challenge between 3:15 and 3:45 p.m. Your patience is appreciated!
Our Blood Drive is Monday, January 25, with more information below.
February will kick off with Jump Rope for Heart, and our girls will be getting ready to attend our Special Person/Daddy Dance on Friday, February 5th.
