The knee joint is a hinge joint.

The Femur, Tibia and Fibula bones attach in the knee joint.

The kneecap is called the Patella.

Yes, you could live without part of skeletal system. They make prosthetic limbs. There are better treatments for bone marrow.

Scoliosis

Causes:

-bone abnormality at birth

-abnormal muscles or nerves

-traumatic bone collapse

-previous back surgery

-osteoporosis

-idiopathic scoliosis, evidence is inherited


Symptoms:

-uneven shoulders

-prominent shoulder blade

-uneven waist

-leaning to one side


Treatments:

-monitor with physical exam and x-ray

-Braces

-Surgery

-stay active and fit
