Metal Roofs
Metal roofs can last up to 50 years and can be recycled at the end of their lives. Metal roofs are good for collecting rain water. They also absorb less heat making the home cooler. Metal shingles produced by Classic Metal Roofing Systems are made from recycled aluminum.
Fiberglass Windows
Fiberglass windows are made from 65% - 85% silica sand. The sand is melted and spun into glass fibers, and produce minimal waste. Any excess is recycled into other products. Fiber glass windows are extremely durable and can last for decades. Fiberglass windows also are energy efficient.
Trex Decks
These decks are made from recycled wood, plastic film and sawdust. They are very durable and can withstand the harshest outdoor conditions. Trex decks require little maintenance.
The Jones Family
The alternative that the Jones will use for their home to help the enviornment, is a metal roof. They will use the metal roof to collect rain water for gardening. Also the roof will be used to conserve energy in the home, and lower heating costs. If the roof becomes damaged they will recycle it.
