Ross' Classroom Update
April 26, 2016
Sharing Our Learning
Our classes are going to share their learning about food chains and food webs with some of the 5th grade classes. 5th graders MAP test in Science over standards that they have learned in previous grades, so we are going to take our giant food webs that show the flow of energy from producers to consumers, and the students are going to share their learning with the 5th graders to reinforce our learning and to reconnect the 5th graders with their environmental schema.
MAP- Math
Students worked hard on Session 1 of the math portion of the MAP test. Today, 4th grade wraps up the MAP test with Math- Session 2. This session should be completed before lunch today. So looking forward to getting the results of their hard work!
NO SCHOOL- THURSDAY, APRIL 28
Take Your Child to Work Day is this Thursday, April 28. In order for our students to be able to participate in this event and not be counted absent, school will not be in session this day. Enjoy the bonus day with your child :)
MAP Test Celebration
Students have endured schedule changes, prep work, and hours of testing, so I think a celebration is in order. On Friday, April 29, students may bring a beverage of their choice and enjoy popcorn and a movie in the classroom.
DEPARTMENTALIZED SCHEDULE IS BACK TO NORMAL NEXT WEEK!!
