This week, New Mark’s Hope Squad attended a leadership summit to begin planning for ways to implement our program at school. Be on the lookout for more programming information in the months to come.|
8th Grade News
8th Grade News:
All 8th grade families should have received an email this week from Dr. Clemens with information about the Pathways Program. In case you missed it, we have attached it here.
Our 8th graders will begin Pathway exploration activities this month. In Social Studies this week, 8th graders explored their career interests through the web-based program, School Links.
Stay tuned for information about high school pathway selection and parent informational sessions that will be held later this winter.
Distinguished Achievement Program (DAP):
The Distinguished Achievement (DAP) is an opportunity for 7th and 8th grade students to be recognized for going above and beyond basic expectations both in and out of school. This year, students must meet 5 out of 9 performance standards. Participation in the DAP program is voluntary and those who complete the requirements will be recognized this spring. Students can indicate their intent to participate by scanning the attached QR code. Once interest is indicated, students will be added to a DAP Canvas course to submit documentation of achievements. Feel free to contact Mrs. Taggart or Mrs. Evans with questions. An informational link about the program may be viewed below.
