Proud of Our Girls!
Inventions and Flag folding
For our community badge, we went on a field trip to Olde Town and learned the proper way to fold a flag during the following meeting. We also discussed the traditional Flag Retirement Ceremony, which the girls will conduct during camp.
Thank you to Mr. Chris for taking all of the pictures during our flag folding.
Amelia
Smoke-a-ma-baber: a machine that automatically gets rid of smoke. The future in fire suppression systems?
Colette
She invented a robot that would go to school and learn everything for you, leaving you free to pursue other things. Then you just download the information the robot learned that night.
Brianna
Automatic Hair styler: it cuts, colors, and styles your hair without having to go to the salon. Just put on the helmet.
Vada
The Super Closet: You type in what you feel like wearing and it comes up with a matching outfit. I think she could go ahead a market this idea for millions!
Jennifer
Automatic Pet feeder: a machine that will automatically dish out a set amount of food for your pet. Pretty cool!
Kaselynn
American Stuffie Maker: It will turn any picture you insert into a stuffed animal. Think of all of the possibilities.
Kailey
Flying cat: With rising fuel costs and to help save the environment, the flying cat will get you everywhere you need to go on cat food.
You're a Grand Old Flag

Yummy!
Our yummy flag themed snack that Mrs. Jane made.
Triangles
The girls learned how to fold the flag over into triangles.
Don't let it touch the ground!
They learned that it is disrespectful to let the flag touch the ground and did a careful job to keep it aloft.
Teamwork!
It took teamwork to fold this big flag.
Fold it in half
Kailey is pointing out that folding the bottom half up to the top is the first step.
Taking turns
Every took turns at every position around the flag.
We did it!
The girls were so proud of their folding job.
Cookie Wrap-up
It's finally over!
The girls sold 2,728 boxes! And the troop made $1,773.20 from cookie sales! Way to go Unicorns!!!
Incentives should arrive in early May.
Sadly, this was my final season doing cookies. I will need to train my replacement as cookie manager for next year. The service unit has said that I cannot be both a leader and cookie manager. So I need someone to step-up to the plate. I will gift you with all of the tips and tricks I've learned over the past three years and of course my door/email/phone is always open. Honestly, it's not a hard job....just time consuming for about 2 months.
