tBSU Service Project: Feeding the Homeless! Saturday 11/9 | 8am-9:30am
On Christmas Day 2011, John Lacabierre III and a group of friends decided to go out and feed the homeless in the spirit of the holidays. After seeing how many people came out, they decided to make it a monthly occurrence. Since then, John realized that the need for the service, as well as the number of people who wanted to be involved was growing, and has since turned the homeless feeding series into a weekly event. Now, every Saturday morning at 8am, John L and a group of volunteers can be seen feeding over 100 homeless people under the bridge. On Saturday 11/9, the Tulane Black Student Union will be in that number.
Tulane CACTUS will be providing us transportation to the bridges at Oretha Castle Haley and Calliope St where the service site is set up every Saturday morning at 8am.
Be sure to RSVP in the Facebook Event Page.
See you all there!
