Kreps Grade 8 Newsletter
January 2023
Halfway through and lots of fun to still have
During the second half of the school year, our 8th graders will start to prepare for their journey to high school while still enjoying some fun-filled activities here at Kreps. As we move into February, students will get to visit Hightstown High School for a tour and student orientation, as well as presentations by HHS counselors in March to start the scheduling process for our rising freshmen. Throughout this transition, the 8th grade core team of myself, Mr. O'Rane, and Ms. Reany will support your child. We will make sure they understand the process and help answer any questions they (or you!) may have.
While we are helping to prepare students for high school, we are not ready to say goodbye to them just yet! We are going to enjoy our time with our students during these next few months and hope they do the same. The 8th grade team is excited for some of the activities we have in store as we approach the end of the school year (8th grade trip, semi formal, promotion), but right now we are going to enjoy the time we are lucky enough to work with your child here at Kreps.

Eighth Grade published authors receive books
The 8th grade students who participated in the summer workshop for Written Out Loud received published copies of books they wrote earlier this month. Several of these writers have participated in multiple sessions, and for some this is their third published book. Congratulations to the young authors.
