For Fourth-Grade Families: 10 Ways to Help Your Child Succeed in Middle School
#3 - Support Homework Expectations - is something you can do for your child now. Set aside a specific time and place every day for your child to work on schoolwork. Whether it's specifically-assigned teacher homework or not, get your child into the habit of doing schoolwork every day. It's always great to have them read for at least 20 minutes and work on math fact flash cards. Classroom newsletters will often let you know what students are working on currently, which you can also have your child practice at home.
