Beach Within Reach!
On April 28, 2017, the Honors Band will go to the Beach Within Reach contest. This contest is a huge one as schools from all over the state come to compete. This is a very hard contest to win, so wish our players luck! One of the trombonist, Marshall Lundsberg, was interviewed about the Beach Within Reach contest. Here's what he has to say about the contest.
The Interview
So how do you feel about Beach Within Reach? Do you feel like you guys are ready?
Marshall: I'm ready for Beach Within Reach. Yea, I feel like we are ready, but we could definitely be better.
What do you think will be the best part about Beach Within Reach?
Marshall: I think the best part about Beach Within Reach is hearing our results at the end.
PTA Spring Social at CMS!
On April 28, 2017, the PTA is sponsoring a social located on the CMS football fields. This social will take place from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. This will be the last social for the year, and the last social for the 8th graders. Make sure you attend this fun filled social!
8th Grade Celebration!
On May 5, 2017, a huge 8th grade celebration will be held for our graduating 8th graders. This celebration will have drinks, food, and a dance floor. Feel free to during 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This may be the last time you may see some of your 8th grade friends in school, so be sure to come and enjoy this celebrations with your friends.
8th Grade Main Event Field Trip!
On May 24, 2017, after the 8th graders finish their Awards Ceremony, they will head to Main Event for a fun filled day! They will be able to play bowling, games, laser tag and more! Lunch will be provided, however any other snacks will be bought with the student's own money.
Some fun facts:
- If you somehow found a way to extract all of the gold from the bubbling core of our lovely little planet, you would be able to cover all of the land in a layer of gold up to your knees.
- McDonalds calls frequent buyers of their food “heavy users.”
- A crocodile can’t poke its tongue out.
- It is physically impossible for pigs to look up into the sky.
- Ketchup was used as a medicine back in the 1930’s.
- Honey never spoils.
- In 2006 someone tried to sell New Zealand on eBay. The price got up to $3,000 before eBay shut it down.

- The cigarette lighter was invented before the match.
