Staying for the game?
If your students stay for the game, please, please, please talk to them about how unsafe it is to run across 1431 to get food. We had a few students leave the game after dark last night to grab food and then run back across 1431. While we do not have control of this, we are asking you to talk to your students about how unsafe this is. Thank you!

The Lady Vikings traveled to Marble Falls to face the Lady Mustangs. Several key plays and standout performances to note from the night. Elle Head showcased her skills with an impressive fast drive layup, converting it into a 3-point play, demonstrating her ability to score under pressure. Sofia Garcia was a force to be reckoned with, contributing early in the game with three baskets, accumulating a total of 6 points. Hannah Koenning added 2 points to the scoreboard, contributing to the team's offensive efforts. Kennedy Brown took charge of ball handling duties, showcasing her playmaking skills and ensuring smooth transitions for her team. Ava Bailey strategically positioned herself up court to assist in bringing the ball down when faced with opponent pressure. On the defensive end, Helen Munoz and Valerie Marin stood out as strong defenders, making crucial steals to disrupt the Lady Mustangs' offensive plays. Despite their defensive efforts, the Lady Vikings ultimately fell short, losing the game to the Lady Mustangs. The final game of the season will be at home against Taylor on Thursday.
7th B vs Marble Falls
In a challenging matchup against the Lady Mustangs, we suffered a tough loss with a final score of 16-23. The first half was particularly challenging, as we struggled to find our rhythm and only managed to put 2 points on the scoreboard. However, the team regrouped during halftime and showed resilience in the second half. Peyton Christensen emerged as a key player, leading the scoring efforts by knocking down 2 three-pointers early in the third quarter and finishing the game with a total of 7 points. Stella Granger contributed to the offensive efforts with her first three-pointer of the season, adding 5 points to the team's total. Madison Hawes and Shelby Rosprim each contributed 2 points to the scoreboard. Aaliyah Arthur, Liana Stevens, and Molly Cortez played essential roles in running the offense to create scoring opportunities and close the gap against the tough Lady Mustang defense. Defensively, Sienna McGuire and Shelby Rosprim stood out with her tenacity, making valuable contributions with steals and rebounds. Despite the challenging loss, the team demonstrated determination and teamwork throughout the game. The final game of the season will be at home against Taylor on Thursday.
7th A vs Marble Falls
The Lady Vikings pulled out a tough one tonight. Coming away with another big win. 34-30. This game was back and forth the entire time. Our ladies never stopped working hard and never gave up on the game. There were many things that weren’t in our favor tonight but they kept their heads in and knocked it away from the Mustangs. Lila Culbreth had an amazing 19 total points for the game. Between her and Lila Rodriguez they both dominated on offense and defense. Lila Rodriguez had an awesome 15 points for the game, she was on fire shooting. The physical toughness these ladies show on the court would make any coach proud. Our Lady Vikings also had to mentally block issues out tonight that were a distraction. They showed their mental toughness as well by not lowering themselves to that level and showing up on the scoreboard. Even when their coach was losing her mind, they took her back and played ball. Aislin Munoz had a heck of a game playing defense. She kept the Lady Mustangs from getting passes in and stole the ball several times. Also contributing to the win was Kinsley Boyd, Shy Krishnamurthy, Annabelle Wheeler, Elena Prescott, Leya Sund, and Rain Nelson. Another week of growth for these ladies and perseverance. We have our last home game next Thursday against Taylor. Come out and support these ladies and watch them in action.

Vaping = DAEP
HB 114 makes offenses involving the possession and/or or use of vapes a mandatory DAEP offense. School districts will now be required to place all students who are caught in possession and/or or using vapes (of any kind – not just those with drugs) into their DAEP.
Please share this with your children - it's just not worth it!
