Principal's Message
We ended the day today with clubs. This is always a fun way to end the week! We have two full weeks coming up before Spring Break. The consistency should be nice for everyone!

INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES
KAY Club Drive
KAY Club will be collecting toiletries for the Starfish Project. We will be collecting full-size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, and shaving cream from March 6-10. The winning WAG class will earn donuts!
Dance and Cheer Information
Tryouts will occur the week of March 6-9th. Please contact Kelsey Casey at klcasey@olatheschools.org or Kirsten Herman at khermanprt@olatheschools.org with any questions!
PRT Track and Field Information
Calling all Huskies who want to compete on the PRT Track Team this season! Any athlete interested in participating in track should review the track packet linked below with their parents/guardians and sign up using the link included in the packet. Paper copies of the packets will be available from Coach Herman and Coach Springer starting the week of February 21.
ALL ATHLETES MUST BE SIGNED UP BY FRIDAY, MARCH 3RD using the link in the track packet!
No athlete will be guaranteed a spot on the team after March 3rd.
Practices start the week of March 6th:
- 6th Graders ONLY March 6th and 7th
- 7th Graders ONLY March 8th
- 8th Graders ONLY March 9th
- NO PRACTICE March 10th
Athletes trying out for cheer or dance should sign up for track before the deadline and will join us for practice after spring break.
Athletes can talk to Coach Herman (girls) or Coach Springer (boys) to get answers to any questions they may have. The coaches can also be reached by e-mail at khermanprt@olatheschools.org (Herman) and jspringerprt@olatheschools.org (Springer).

Notes From the Counseling Office
Important Dates
Current 7th grade students will be attending a district wide Career Pathways Fair at Johnson County Community College on March 1st. They will take a bus and be gone from 7:55am-9:30am that day.
Mrs. Brown will be in 7th grade social studies classes on February 28th to prepare students for the visit.
Current 8th grade students will be attending high school transition day at their respective high schools on March 2nd. Students will be transported to their future high school and be gone from 9:30am-2:30pm that day.
