The Inside Scoop on Child Abuse
What is Child Abuse?
Child abuse happens when a parent or other adult causes serious physical or emotional harm to a child. The most serious cases of child abuse can end in death. Some children that suffered child abuse in their childhood, will be more likely to be emotionally unstable, and struggle with depression. Which can greatly impact on their future careers and the outcome of their life. Children who grow up in violent homes are found to be 6 times more likely to commit suicide, 24 times more likely to commit assault, and 50 times more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol. Child abuse can start with any physical injury, sexual abuse, or emotional abuse inflicted on a child other than by accidental means by those responsible for the child's care and custody. It is estimated that over four children die everyday, from the effects of child abuse. Only ⅓ of our population, reports child abuse out of over 6 million children involved in abuse. Don't be that ⅔
of the population. Donate to any organization, like the CAPA, by scanning the qr code below, or just tell a friend. Make kids all over the world happy, because love shouldn't hurt.
