Weekly Reflections
It's the Little Things!
Reflection word(s) of the week: Details
When I think of last week, I reflect most on our Friday night game and Saturday Band Competition. I saw students who are proud to be at North. I saw the cute cheerleaders who were once sitting in the stands, proudly cheering in front of the band on the track with their pink socks, bows, and pom poms (thanks Ms. Ulmer and Mrs. Scott). I saw the football team running through our North banner (thanks Coach Williams, Coach Clark, and Coach Mickles). The lines on the field looked amazing and the extra touch of blue around the numbers made it look amazing (Thanks Coach Williams and Coach Clark). The band proudly marched in proudly with their ALL pink shirts (which went well with their Aretha Franklin's Pink Cadillac song). Their director had on a pink shirt (You GO Director Marsh!). Finally, I saw faculty in spirit with their all pink on Friday and with the drum line dismissing us! Mrs. Haigler and Mrs. Young even showed our young folks that they could still hang (lol)! Our volleyball team went and brought the win home (Thanks Coach Bookman) while our art students were winners too (Thanks Mrs. Aiken). While this may seem trivial to some, it means a lot to our students (our customers) ....that's who matters most. Our parents and our community are noticing that we are moving in the right direction. I really enjoyed my weekend with North at our football and band events. I look forward to a positive week ahead. Thank you for making the "little" things matter into much larger things! It's called Pride and Spirit!
