Halfway Through the First 9 Weeks

September 2021

Hello Bears!

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I’m so excited to begin another amazing year at Red River Valley Charter School, and I’m so happy to be working with my All Star Team-Staff, Students, and Parents/Guardians. We have a few new faces joining our team and accepting the role of RRVCS Bear Mentors and Leaders, and I’m grateful for those of you who are returning to this amazing place!

Please take a moment to review our campus mission statement, service learning, and goals for the 2021 - 2022 school year.

Our Mission Statement

To provide every student the opportunity to develop academically, socially, and physically through quality learning experiences utilizing E.D. Hirsch's Core Knowledge Curriculum.

Service Learning

RRVCS will provide opportunities and encourage students to be responsible citizens through leading by example, and applying knowledge and skills obtained in the class to service learning and community leadership. Our students will participate in service learning experiences throughout the school year and reflect upon what service learning means and how it impacts them and others.

Goals for 2021- 2022

  1. Work together as a team to improve the culture and climate of our school by using nice words, greeting and/or acknowledging all stakeholders.
  2. Strengthen first line instruction in order to meet the individual needs of our students by internalizing lesson plans, seeking professional development, participating in PLC, using technology and being prepared.
  3. Use data to provide students with targeted small and whole group instruction and to track student growth in reading, writing and math.
  4. Learning is happening daily for ALL students!
