Career Day
I was SO proud of our fifth graders on Career Day! They were very respectful and attentive to all the speakers during presentations from local a local veterinarian, business owner, educator, dentist, life coach, computer programmer, military lieutenant, as well as archeologists . Students also enjoyed hands-on activities provided by the Career and Technology Center where they learned about television and multimedia production, criminal justice, cosmetology, and biomedical science. I would like to extend a BIG thank you to the parents in our TES community who took time off work to help make Career Day a success!
Peer Mentor Conference
Eleven of our fifth graders participated in the Peer Mentor Conference at FCC this past week. The theme of the conference was “Leading the Way to a Better Tomorrow.” Students participated in mini-sessions about kindness, leadership and conflict resolution.
Move Up Day
I would like to thank all of the parents who helped make Move Up Day a huge success! We were SO grateful that the rained held off so that the students could participate in all the fun games and get to know other students in the Catoctin feeder schools. This day would not have been possible without all the volunteers. Thank you so much for your time!
