Bearcat Praises

Thanks to everyone who made this an exceptional week at PPIS!

Thank you all our 5th grade teachers and parents for taking care of our kids at Camp Grady Spruce this week. From the looks of it they had a great time and definitely made some memories!

Thank you Ms. Wooten for helping out in the office while Ms. Nisbett was out as well as putting together our tutorial lists for the 2nd administration STAAR that is coming up!

Thanks to all our staff members for being so flexible this week with the different events and activities we had going on. It seemed like everyday there was something new and we all pulled together and got the job done. Thanks to everyone for just being awesome!

Congratulations 5th Grade Math!

Congratulations again to all our 5th grade students and especially Mrs. Woodard and Ms. Mills on their outstanding scores after the first administration. Combined 80% of their students passed the test with 20% reaching the highest level. This is an over 20% gain from one year ago with the same group of kids so it is definitely an outstanding accomplishment! No doubt this was an all around team effort and definitely wouldn't have been possible without the solid foundation laid by our 3rd and 4th grade teams!

A Few Pictures from Grady Spruce!

This one makes me laugh!

I'm not sure where the Goodnight Trail is, but it appears that is could either be the best place in the world or the worst! You just never know with 4th grade!

STARI is back

The 6th graders have rolled out STARI again for all our 3rd graders to ask questions related to the STAAR test :) Such a neat idea and thanks so much to them for doing this.

These two ladies are AWESOME!

I wanted to send this out before we left for Easter break but we have the best front office staff around! I'm sure there is no one in the building who would disagree but these two work so hard and go out of their way to help anyone and everyone who comes through. Just before the break they sorted, folded and stuffed over 400 envelopes with Benchmark reports and goal sheets to make sure parents received them over the holiday. Just an outstanding team and we are so fortunate to have them!

Help Needed at the Color Run!

We will be hosting our second annual Color Run on May 6th at 4:30 and we need your help! If you would like to volunteer please email me and let me know. Also, if you know of someone who would like to be a sponsor please stop by the front office and pick up a flier. All the money will go into the PTO account and be used to build our Vail's memorial outdoor classroom.
