2023 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists have been announced!
9/14/2022
Today officials of National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced the names of over 16,000 Semifinalists in the 68th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,250 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million that will be offered next spring.

About 95 percent of the Semifinalists are expected to attain Finalist standing, and approximately half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar title.

New Tutoring Service for all K-12 CCSD Students
· There is a new district-wide initiative to provide unlimited, 24/7 virtual tutoring and academic support to approximately 300,000 students in the District.
· CCSD recently partnered with Paper, which works with school districts nationwide to provide 1:1 instructional support across more than 200 subject areas in English, Spanish, French and Mandarin.
Paper’s staff of highly trained, background-checked tutors empower students to achieve success with equitable access to academic support.
CCSD is funding the Paper partnership using ESSER funds, so the service is free to all K-12 students and families. Students will access support via their Clever account.
