Family Newsletter-- Oct. 3, 2022
Welcome Fall
It is exciting to welcome fall to this school year. We have already had a lot of learning happen in September, and we are excited for the learning that will occur in October.
As we continue into our school year, please make sure to work with your children on their Homework and Remembering (Math) and reading for 20 minutes each day.
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me at rivars@bangorschools.org, or call me at 989.684.8891.
Warm regards,
Sarah

Attendance
School attendance is extremely important. Students are expected to come to school every day, on time. School begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 3:05 p.m. If your child comes between 8:15-8:45 a.m., they are marked tardy. If your child comes after 8:45 or leaves before 2:45 p.m., he/she is marked half day absent.

Popcorn Fridays
PTO at Bangor Central
We also have a Bangor Central Parent Group to stay up-to-date on PTO events.
Sick Students
Thank you for keeping your child home if he/she is sick. We do not want to spread illness to other students and their families. Illness is a perfectly understandable reason your child would not be at school. If your child is sent to school sick or starts to not feel well during the school day, we will contact you.
Morning Drop Off
We open the school doors at 8 a.m. Students are to be dropped off at the back gate between 8-8:15 a.m. If your child is dropped off after 8:15 a.m., they will need to be signed in at the front office.
Sign in and Out Sheets
If parents/guardians need to pick up their child(ren) early for an appointment, please make sure to come into the office to sign your child out; at this time, an ID may be asked for, so please make sure to have that available. If students are coming back to school, they need to be signed in, as well.
