Why is the ACT Important?
The ACT is a very important test and is used by universities to determine college acceptance and scholarship award amounts. Even more, a student who meets their benchmarks on the ACT (English: 18, Math: 19, Reading: 20) is considered College Ready. With the new graduation requirement, all MLCHS students must be College or Career Ready in order to graduate their senior. This requirement makes taking the ACT even more important!
When Should My Child Start Taking the ACT?
We recommend all students take the ACT at least 3 times and for them to begin taking the ACT their junior year. The next eligible date to take the ACT is February, 6th! Your student is strongly encouraged to take this test!
