The IMAX Rivercenter Field Trip!
It was really cool just to hang out and be with one another.
There were many other students there on field trips, so it was really nice to see all the students most of them younger than ours having a good time. All of the students seemed to really have a good time.
What can I say about Ms. Alize?
The reason that she is one of the three students being featured in this newsletter, is a result of her hard work and diligence. Like the others, she had to work sometime 4-6 hours during the Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks in order to complete the two modules. Both modules were the complete content for Eighth grade Math and Reading. Her example for other students is what I am most proud of. Alize handled her business, and in the process gained a new level of confidence in herself, that she didn't have previously. Way to go Alize!
My man Aziki!
Along with his good fortune of being moved to Eighth grade, he has completed the the Eighth grade STAAR modules for both Science and Social Studies. He is currently also working on his My Path math content. The thing that I admire and respect most about him, is his passion for learning and his respect shown to everyone. Every teacher that I mention his name to, has nothing but great things to say about him. Davis Middle rejoiced when it was revealed to all his teachers and friends that he had been placed into Eighth grade. Aziki, you the man!!
A'reanna Garcia - Star in the classroom and on the court/field!
A'reanna has also completed the Eighth grade STAAR prep in Science and Social Studies in an effort to do well on all of her four eighth grade STAAR exams. She had told me that she was willing to do whatever was necessary to be placed in the eighth grade at the mid-year mark. Well Ms. A'reanna, congratulation on a job well done sweetie!!
