Farewell Officer Cole

During the Fenton Board of Education meeting on Monday, June 5, Superintendent Heidie Ciesielski announced that the district’s school resource officer (SRO) Thomas Cole of the Fenton Police Department was stepping down in this role. He will be replaced by Fenton police officer Jordan Grace.

Officer Cole had been the SRO for the school district for five years. He’s going to be a full-time detective for the Fenton Police Department. To honor his service, Officer Cole was named as the Grand Marshal for the 31st annual Fenton Freedom Festival.

We are appreciative of Officer Cole's dedication to FAPS students and wish him the best in his new detective role. He will be missed by students and staff.

Welcome Officer Grace - New SRO for AGS and FHS

At the June 5th Board of Education meeting Officer Jordan Grace was introduced as the new Student Resource Officer (SRO) for the Fenton Area Public Schools secondary buildings - AGS and FHS.

Officer Grace graduated from Bloomfield High School and Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and criminal justice. He worked for the Detroit Police Department for five years and was a sergeant there before going to Grand Rapids Police Department. He was at Grand Rapids for a short period before coming to Fenton.

Officer Grace is a familiar face to many of our staff and students. We are excited to welcome him to the FAPS Family.
