EdCamp for KIDS!!

In your child's backpack should be a course catalogue for an experience we are creating for our students in collaboration with Alton Darby Elementary School: EdCamp for Kids

This opportunity is a chance for us to provide students with vertical learning environments on topics of their choice between Both buildings. This event will take place on October 10 from 9:30-11:00. Please look over the course catalogue with your child (AM Kindergarten your catalogue will come home on MONDAY). Make your top three selections on the SECOND page of the catalogue, detach the selection form, and return to the main office by SEPTEMBER 24th. You will be assigned to one of the three choices you select for this experience.

I want to thank all of the families who have show interest in volunteering! This year I am using a website called signup genius. Signup genius will allow you to pick a day and time that works best for you to volunteer. I am hoping for at least two volunteers a week. I will have a volunteer orientation video available by next week. All volunteers are required to have a volunteer badge. Please visit to learn more about how to get your badge. Be sure to note the cost of obtaining a volunteer badge changes starting October 1, 2014.

Thank you!

Mini Me's

One way students have been getting to know each other is through sharing their Mini Me's. This has been a great way for student to discover common likes and interests. Many writers workshop stories have also been inspired by the Mini Me's. The Mini Me's are now on display in the classroom. Thank you for your help with this project!
