Summary
Together with a few inmates—some innocent kids who have been framed, others cold-blooded killers—Alex plans an escape. Now its all about the execution.
Characters
Alex Sawyer- Was a bully and a burglar, stealing from kids and houses with his best friend Toby. In one of their heists they are ambushed by Blacksuits who killed Toby and framed Alex. He is put in Furnace and roomed with James Donovan who he soon becomes close friends with. While living in Furnace he witnesses the mysterious experiments the Warden does to the boys to turn them into horrific beasts. He must come up with a plan to save himself and his friends.
Donovan- He is Alex's very strong and well-built cellmate in Furnace. Since he is so strong, he can often do what he wants without having anyone to get in his way. He was sent to Furnace after killing his mothers abusive boyfriend.
