Principal Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Please read the section from PTO about volunteers for The Holiday Shop and Winter Wonderland. We have many new families and this is a great way to get involved, meet people, and support our school.
I also wanted to remind and let our new families know our policy for outdoor recess. The weather has gotten colder so please make sure your child is dresses for the cold temperatures (i.e. hats, gloves, coats, scarves, socks). Students will be going outside for recess if the feels like temperature is 25 degrees or higher.
Enjoy your weekend!
April :)

Focus on Learning
I-Ready Personalized Instruction - Last week we only had two days of instruction due to Thanksgiving break, so I didn't monitor time on task or lessons passed for i-ready. However, 5th grade homerooms are still battle it out with The Great iReady Bake-Off! Keep up your dedication and hard work:)
Our Kindergarten students are amazing! They have been working very hard on their oral langauge, phonics and writing skills. We are very proud of their progress thus far.
Who Loves Reader's Theater? OUR 3rd GRADE STUDENTS!
Readers Theater is an excellent way to integrate reading, writing, speaking, listening in an authentic grade level text and our students love it.
Attendance = This week's average attendance was only 93.0% and Monday we had 9% of the students absent. We should easily be at 95% attendance every day. Let's try to be at 95% or higher every day next week!
Congratulations Students of the Month!

Mobile Dentist
Thank you
We know that parents often find taking their children to the dentist to be a challenge due to a variety of issues including transportation and having to take time off from work. That’s why so many parents tell us how much they appreciate the ease and convenience of the in-school dentist, knowing that their children’s teeth are being kept healthy. Plus, kids are more comfortable seeing the dentist in the comfort and familiar surroundings of their school."
30 students
They provide preventative care as well as small restorative work.
