Central Elementary Bits and Bites

Dear Families,

I hope you are enjoying our new newsletter format! It is so fun to make these each week. This newsletter or a link to this newsletter is sent to parent emails, posted on PK-3rd Grade SeeSaw Accounts, Google Classroom, the USD 462 website, and the USD 462 Facebook page. Also in the works, I plan on adding an Instagram and Twitter account as well as utilizing the School Messenger App. Our goal is to reach all families and community members with news and happenings at Central Elementary as well as Central Junior/Senior High School.

I hope you are all enjoying your long weekend and the quality time with family. We can't wait to see your kiddos on Tuesday for an awesome three day school week!

A Message from Mrs. Wheeler!

Hello CES families! I just wanted to let everyone know that you can bring all the fun and excitement of music class home with you! Just go to the website and you have access to all the games and songs we use in class! I can't wait for the kids to show you their favorites! Later in the year, the content will become password protected, but don't worry, we will provide those to you and you can still join in on the fun! - Mrs. Wheeler

Central Elementary's Fall Flower Fundraiser:

The turn in deadline of September 11th is coming up quick! Please spread the word to help CES students raise money that goes towards projects and activities that benefit our students. In the past, the funds have been used to stock our Bravo! Bucks Store where students earn Bravo! Bucks for several good deeds, earning Awesome Referrals, meeting goals, or demonstrating various positive behaviors and modeling high expectations. In addition to CPTO's help in funding our classroom field trips, this student activity account has helped to pay for student admissions, bus drivers, etc... Our largest expenditure to date has been our contribution, along with CPTO, to our improvement efforts for our playground. New structures are being added and we can't wait to share the finished product. In addition to the new structures, our goals are to clean out and improve the garden area, paint the slab to add additional games like four-square and hopscotch, and add another Ga-Ga Ball Pit. We have big dreams and appreciate the opportunity to make improvements to our school!
