Online games for the end of the semester
KV has a subscription to Breakout EDU via the media center and I don't think we use it nearly enough. I created a class with some online games you can use with your kids as a group or individually. Directions to sign up are below. This week, I am adding silly seasonal games but there a lot of educational ones there too. Go look! It's a great productive filler for these last days.
Making punishments work
How the heck do you reward or punish a child when the things you usually do have no impact? We give a lot of low scores and detentions that students don't seem to care much about and don't really create any change in their behavior. Frustrating, right?!

Writing Good Test questions
I have been reading a lot lately about ways to write effective test questions and with finals coming up, it seemed like a good time to share. Below are a few images of tips taken from a video that are helpful. Mostly, we want to make sure the question has a clear target for assessment and ensure that the question actually addresses that.
