Open Session
The Boerne ISD Board of Trustees held their regular monthly meeting in the BISD Board Room.
Board Commendations
The Board commended Boerne ISD students and staff, as well as celebrated district-wide honors. Below are some of the honorees.
HES Student Council
Herff Elementary School Student Council earned the 2020-21 Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association Student Leadership Award. They are one of just 32 student leadership teams across the state of Texas to win this award.
TEPSA established the TEPSA Student Leadership Award in 2018 to honor outstanding student leadership teams and their impact on our school communities in the state of Texas. Student leadership groups submit a rigorous application, which is judged on student leaders demonstrating how their leadership has impacted the stakeholders at their school as well as demonstrated how they served their campus and community. The application also views how campuses empower learners through leadership opportunities.
Congratulations to Herff Student Council sponsor Andria Burton, and the student council members.
BHS Boys Golf Team
Congratulations to the Boerne High School Boys Golf Team. The Greyhounds finished ninth at the Class 4-A State Golf Tournament.
The Boerne golfers performed well at the regional tournament and earned a third-place finish to advance to the state tournament.
